Today we traveled a few hours from Nairobi to MCF Ndalani where we were greeted by the largest family in the world. The children’s smiles and beautiful singing brought joy to our hearts. After we enjoyed lunch with Charles and Esther, we got the opportunity to participate in a community relief feeding program where we provided water, corn maize, flour, beans, and salt to over 1,960 families that came from as far as 20 km away. The drought and famine conditions over the last several months have been declared a national emergency so MCF shares the love of Christ and provides for those in need.
Deuteronomy 15:11 says ” For the poor will never cease from the land: therefore I command you, saying, You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.”
Charles took the opportunity to evangelize and share the gospel with the community and the MCF choir sang worship songs to the people. Later on we participated in evening devotions with the children where Pastor Pedro and Charley performed their Daniel and the Lions den skit once again to the joy of the children. We sang and danced and listened to the children recite scripture in worship of Jesus. It was a truly blessed day! Praise God!!!
What an amazing experience to be part of seeing the love of Christ in action, brining hope to those who are desparate in the drought.
